UW-Parkside Writers’ Conference, poems in Barzakh & WI Fellowship of Poets calendar & Conversant!

May 3, 2014

Hi friendlies,

With more sunshine comes lots of activity!  You can find me in person at the following events:

1) reading with Anne Shaw, Milwaukee, WI hosted by Cynthia Spencer – Saturday, May 3, 2014

2) Keynote @ UW-Parkside Writers’ Conference: “Mutate: Flirting with Boundaries” – 6pm, Wednesday, May 7, 2014

+ my creative work here:

3) my poems, “Letter for Export,” “Girl-not,” “Envelope/Recombinant,” “How heart open,” and “Open heart how” have found a home in the Correspondence issue of Barzakh, alongside some poets & writers I admire & friends including Myung Mi Kim, Purvi Shah, Nathaniel Mackay, Wo Chan, Tomás Urayoán Noel, Amaranth Borsuk & Andy Fitch. Thanks to editor Evan Chen!

4) Just received a hand-delivered copy of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets’ 2014 Calendar. My poem “Rummage: Shiny City” is re-published here. If you want a calendar, you can order it here!

5) An old-school interview (from 2009) from Rachelle Cruz’s The Blood-Jet Hour can be found in this month’s The Conversant. I’ll be joining The Conversant as a Senior Editor, along with Caleb Beckwith, this summer.  The Conversant is a monthly journal featuring serial interview projects, talk poetries, and interviews between poets and other language-based artists and I’m open to queries for provocative interviews on writers and artists.
