Come to the 2010 Writers’ Harvest, Saturday Nov. 13

Seven renowned Los Angeles-area writers are coming to the University of La Verne (map here) for a benefit reading at 6:00pm, Saturday November 13th, on the third floor of the university’s new Campus Center. Admission is free and the event is open to the public, though all in attendance are asked to bring a non-perishable food or modest cash donation. The reading is being held as a food drive in advance of the Thanksgiving holiday to help those in need, and it is being co-sponsored by the Inland Valley Hope Partners, a charitable organization that serves some 75,000 children, women and men a year throughout the Inland Valley. The excellent authors are Aimee Bender, Ralph Angel, Tony Barnstone, Ching-In Chen, Richard Lange, Jen Hofer, and Larry Fondation. Join us for a great night and a great cause.

Thank you also to AsiaWrites and poet, editor, translator, and teacher Chad Sweeney for selecting my poem, “Personal History,” for nomination for the Best of the Web 2010 anthology.  I’m pleased to be in such good company with poets Sharanya Manivannan and Sonam Kachru!

Hope to see you on the road!
